    Point Foundation: 2010 LGBT Scholarships Open

    The Point Foundation, the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students of merit, has announced the opening of its 2010 application season. Students who will be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs for the 2010-11 school year are eligible to apply for the prestigious multiyear scholarships.

    Casey Family Services is holding an orientation for families thinking about foster and adoptive parenting. RSVP required. There are over 1,300 Vermont children in foster care. Many of these kids are looking for a family like yours. Whether you are interested in weekend-only or full-time parenting, come learn about what it takes to give a child the chance to succeed. We provide ongoing training, support, and generous compensation. Kids in our community need you now more than ever, so now is the time to learn more about becoming a foster or adoptive parent.
