LGBT Non-Profit Resources

Listed below are brief descriptions of the LGBT non-profits and HIV/AIDS service non-profits in Vermont. Click on the link for more inforatmation. 

ACORN - ACORN provides a full range of support services to people living with HIV/AIDS and Hep C in Orange and Windsor Counties of Vermont and Grafton and Sullivan Counties of New Hampshire. ACORN strives to stop the spread of HIV and Hep C by offering prevention information.

AIDS Project of Southern Vermont - The AIDS Project of Southern Vermont provides direct services to people living with HIV/AIDS, and HIV prevention services to those at most risk in Windham, Bennington, and southern Windsor counties.

Barony of All Vermont- The Barony of All Vermont is a non-profit organization that raises money for other non-profit organizations in the state of Vermont and some surrounding counties of New Hampshire.

Bennington Pride Coaltion- The Bennington Pride Coalition actively works to end homophobia in our community. The aim of the Bennington Pride Coalition is to promote the well-being of LGBT people through communication, networking, support, education, political action, and fun.

Champlain Valley Rainbow Squares - What IS gay and lesbian square dancing? In our experience, square dancers share a great camaraderie where wonderful friendships are born.

Comprehensive Care Clinics - Fletcher Allen Health Care, Comprehensive Care Clinics Providing State-of-the-art- medical care for HIV / AIDS in 4 locations.

Faerie Camp Destiny - Faerie Camp Destiny is dedicated to permament, sustainable faerie sanctuary and community, and to sharing what we know of community, civil rights, environmental issues, drama, art and peace.

Gay and Lesbian Fund of Vermont -The Gay & Lesbian Fund of Vermont exists to raise awareness of the important charitable contributions made by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Vermonters and their allies. We do this primarily by making monetary donations to other 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations on behalf of our donors.

GLAM - Gay Leisurely Activities for Men - is a community building group for young gay and bi men in Vermont. We plan fun events big and small, hook queer guys up with condoms and lube, and in general work for healthy and active gay and bi men's community.

Green Mountain Leather Club- The mission of the Green Mountain Leather Club is to bring the fellowship and family of leather in all its aspects together, working toward the betterment of our communities through education, community service, and active involvement.

LGBTQA Services at UVM -We're committed to meeting the needs of LGBTQA students, faculty, & staff at UVM. Our aim is to transform the UVM experience for LGBTQA students, faculty, and staff to one that is safe, positive, and fully engaging.

Outright Vermont -The Mission of Outright Vermont is to build safe, healthy, and supportive environments for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth. Our programs, groups, and services (unless otherwise stated) are for young LGBTQ (or queer) people, ages 22 and under.

Pride Vermont -Pride Vermont is a celebration of Vermont's queer community in beautiful downtown Burlington. Pride brings together families, community organizations, businesses, artists, and professionals for one proud day.

Queer Community Project- QCP is a volunteer-led organization based in Brattleboro, Vermont which serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities in our tri-state area.

Rainbow Resources of New Hampshire- Rainbow Resources is the 501C3 non-profit charged with maintaining and distributing information for and about the LGBTQA community in New Hampshire and nearby ares of contiguous states.

RU12? Community Center - RU12? Is Vermont’s only LGBT community center; it hosts support groups, does anonymous and free HIV testing, advocacy work, it has a cyber center, a well stocked library and runs social groups as well.

Rutland Vistas - LGBT & Q social group and potluck for Rutland County, Addison County, Bennington and Brattleboro, meets every 2nd Sunday of the month at 6PM. Family & friends welcome!

Samara Foundation of Vermont -The Samara Foundation's mission is to improve the quality of life of Vermont's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender citizens. With our donors and other partners, we collaborate to build and protect the dynamic capital required to advance this mission now and in the future.

Vermont Cares - Vermont CARES offers HIV+ individuals a variety of services tailored to each person’s unique needs. All services offered by Vermont CARES are free of charge, services range from testing to ongoing support.

Vermont Freedom to Marry Task Force -The Vermont Freedom to Marry Task Force expresses gratitude for Vermont's being the first state to enact a marriage equality law through legislative process.

Vermont Gay Social Alternatives- The purpose of VGSA is to provide occasions for all of you in Vermont's queer community to meet in comfortable, safe social surroundings.
