ACORN provides a full range of support services to people living with HIV/AIDS and Hep C in Orange and Windsor Counties of Vermont and Grafton and Sullivan Counties of New Hampshire. ACORN strives to stop the spread of HIV and Hep C by offering prevention information throughout our region. Our goal is to empower people to reduce their risk of contracting or spreading HIV and Hep C. ACORN offers confidential support groups for our clients and their partners. Our case managers can help clients locate doctors, dentists, lawyers, and mental health counselors who are especially sensitive to the needs of people with HIV/AIDS and Hep C. We can also make referrals to other social service agencies in the region.

The AIDS Project of Southern Vermont provides direct services to people living with HIV/AIDS, and HIV prevention services to those at most risk in Windham, Bennington, and southern Windsor counties. Founded by volunteers in 1988 as a grassroots, community based group, the AIDS Project now fills an important statewide role in making sure that Vermont’s fight against the AIDS epidemic is strong and effective. Our mission is to provide direct services to those whose lives are affected by HIV/AIDS, to offer education about HIV/AIDS to help prevent its spread, and to promote understanding within the communities served.
