Samara encourages the development of philanthropic giving within and on behalf of our GLBT communities. Samara is granting today, while building an endowment for our future! As a permanent resource for our communities, Samara is committed to assessing our communities' changing needs, and directing foundation resources to the emerging needs of our community.

Samara puts its mission into action through grantmaking, scholarships and technical assistance.

Samara's latest project is the Vermont Gay Guide, through which Samara hopes to foster a statewide LGBTQ network in Vermont. The Gay Guide's purpose has two parts; one that the Gay Guide provides adverstising space and networking opportunities for gay-owned or gay-friendly businesses and two that the Gay Guide provides resources for the LGBTQ community. Through the Gay Guide Samara hopes to provide community connection through out all of Vermont.
